Same sh*t, different day :P

As I’m typing this, I’m finishing up a 13.5 hour work day.  I know its a little bit different, since I work from home, but to sit in front of the computer for over 13 hours…it can suck sometimes.  I did get in 30 minutes on the elliptical though, so WooT to that.

For the past few weeks I have basically been working morning to night.  I haven’t really been to the gym, but I have been getting in 30 minutes on the elliptical during my lunch break, and every so often throughout the day I’ll take some downtime to do crunches, or something with my dumbbells.

I also haven’t been ordering Dominos or running out to get McDonalds.

I’ve gotten off to a good start with the 20 pound goal, but I don’t want to state the progress just yet.  In the past, whenever I’ve posted my weigh in, I’ve used to rest of the day as a “free” day.  I think I have enough control to not do it now, but I don’t want to jinx myself.  You’ll get a weight next week though, when we’re halfway through the month :) .

In other news, I think I’m going to buy a car.  I’ve been wanting to for awhile.  I’ve been needing to also, because my van is on it’s deathbed.  I’d love to buy a new car, but I don’t think I’ll be able to afford it.  Not only would I have to worry about a car payment (which I don’t have now), but I’d also have to deal with the insurance increase, all of which goes on top of debt I am trying to pay off.  Boo!

I can manage it if I keep the price right, but it will definitely cut into the McDonalds budget (awww…shucks…).

Anywho, as far as used cars go, I’m looking at a 2006 Toyota Camry, and a 2008 Ford Fusion. 

 

I haven’t seen either in person yet, but the pictures look pretty :)   The Ford has lower mileage (48000 as opposed to 97000), and its black (which I like), but its also about $2500 more, so we’ll see… Assuming my financing pre approval goes through, I’m going to head down either one day this week or next week to see whats up.

I know it’s been awhile since I posted, and unfortunately it might be a little bit longer before I post again.

I’ve decided to take a little break from the blog.  I am bogged down with work, schoolwork, working out and unfortunately I’m at a place right now where the blog seems like a bit of a hassle. 

It also seems like I merely write the same thing over and over again and it gets kind of tiring.  I have a plan in mind to expand some aspects of the blog, but unfortunately I can’t really do that right now due to time constraints.  I had thought about taking a break before, but I was very hesitant, and in many ways still am, but I think this might be for the best right now.

I’m am coming back around the first of the year, if not a little bit sooner.  My semester will be finished, the holidays will be out of the way, and I’ll be able to breathe a bit.

I still plan on working out, and trying to lose weight, so hopefully I’ll have some good news for you when I return.  I will also still be tweeting and on Dailymile, so hopefully I won’t lose touch with any of you!

It’s not much, but I’ll take it. :)

Need to get some work done, so this is going to be a brief post.  Basically I wanted to check in and say that I’m alive, and that I’m still around :P

I need to workout more this week.  I worked 25.5 hours of overtime last week, and I got some schoolwork done, but exercising kind of fell to the wayside.  I need to work on that, otherwise I’m going to start inflating again. :/

Diet was meh, again.  No calorie counting this past week, but I did try to keep the portions in check, to an extent.
