Only 1.4 pounds away from losing 20 pounds :)

WooT!

Starting Weight:  292.4 lbs
Previous Weight:   277.6 lbs
Current Weight:  275.0 lbs (-2.6 lbs)
Total lost: 17.4 lbs
BMI:  40.0

I took a picture of the weigh in and e-mailed it to myself, but it has yet to show up in my inbox. I’ll update once I get it :)

While the scale is showing a 2.6 pound loss, last week I mentioned a 2.2 pounds difference between weighing in clothed and weighing in in the buff.  So in a way, I only actually lost .4lbs.

But I did lose weight, so I’m not going to sweat that too much.

And since I only needed to lose .2lbs to meet my 5% goal…I DID IT AND I’VE MET MY FIRST GOAL!  Bring on 10%!

I do have to admit though that I haven’t been working out much these past two weeks.  I’ve either been working overtime or have been too tired to function.  So I’m going to work on that for this week, even if its just a small workout. :)

For starters, I did not weigh in at the Meeting this week.

I have decided to change from plan the Monthly Pass (which included meetings and the online tools) to just the Online Tools.

I wholeheartedly feel that the Meetings are a great tool, but I don’t believe they are a great tool for me.  I was originally expecting a public weigh in (ala Biggest Loser) followed by a round table discussion of sorts where we’d all discuss our ups and downs, what we did right, what we did wrong, etc…etc…  I don’t really find weighing in privately in front of one person (which is how is actually goes down) to be anymore motivating that posting it here, and while there is some discussion, the whole meeting is more of a class/review of the weekly newsletter.

That may be great for some, but, as an example, last week the meeting topic was how walking is beneficial to weight loss.  With all due respect, I ran a half marathon last year.  I may not be in shape to do it again (as this moment, anyway), but I don’t really feel like I need to sit through a discussion on the benefits of walking.  I already know WHAT to do, I just got to do it.

Again, I am not trying to knock the meetings in any way, shape or form.  They just seem to be geared more towards someone who hasn’t been through all of this.  Like I said before, I already know what to do, I just got to do it, and I think the Weight Watchers online tools will be more than enough to keep me accountable so that I actually do it.

Not to mention, the online only version is WAY cheaper. :P   If I start to slip though, you bet your ass I’ll be going right back to the meetings though.

OKAY…now that that’s out of the way…

Yay!  I lost weight! :D

To keep my weigh in more inline with what the meeting’s weigh in would show, I wore what I would usually wear (socks, t-shirt and sweatpants) when I stepped on the bathroom scale this week.  Next week I go nekkid, and will weigh in first thing in the morning, which is how I always weigh in before (up until the meetings) when posting here.  So next week MAY show a bit of a bigger loss (I weighed in 2.2 pounds lighter this week when nekkid, for example), but after that we’ll be back to full on nekkid consistency. :P

Have a great week, everyone!
