Last night I went to Philadelphia for a Lady Gaga (don’t judge me) concert, and I had a blast.  I wish I had some decent pictures to show you, but all of mine suck.

Today, I am exhausted.

I didn’t get to bed until about 2am, and still had to be up at 6:30am for work.  My roommate took a half day off, and is still sleeping, so yeah, f*ck him! :P

Food choices weren’t that great yesterday, but I’ll make up for that today.

One of the coolest things though, besides the concert, was I got to see her!

The Birthday Girl ;)

We had just gotten into Philly when we ended up behind an SUV with lettering on the back window that said “Go Sarah! D.C to N.Y.C. – Cycling 300 miles.”  As a weight loss/health and wellness/bla bla bla blogger, I thought it was awesome that I was actually seeing a workout challenge like this play out…LIVE!

And I thought it was even more awesome when I saw Roni blogging about her today.  I feel like I am connected, even if I didn’t actually get to meet her!

I did give her a thumbs up as we passed her though, but I don’t think she saw. :(

Anywho, she is calling the event the Celebration Ride, and it is to raise awareness for Childhood Obesity.  You can root her on either on her blog or her Twitter.

Alright my Little Monters (Gaga reference, again, don’t judge me!), hope you have a great day!

It is entirely possible that I might not lose any weight this week, after all.

And that’s because I will be spending my Labor Day weekend in Buffalo, NY at the National Buffalo Wing Festival.

Now Steve, you’ve been struggling with your weight loss for a while now, and you’ve gained alot of weight back in the past few months…why in the hell would you go to Buffalo Wing Festival?

Because it sounded like fun, and because I like buffalo wings.  That’s all there is to it, really.

So I’m going to take a few days off from fretting about the scale, and I’m going to chow down.  The hotel has a gym, and a pool (I think) so there will be workouts.  But I’m not going to kid myself and say I’m not going to eat anything, or that I’m going to try to drink alot of water so I’m not hungry.  To be perfectly honest, there will be a lot of wings, and the beer will probably flow freely this weekend.

If that doesn’t look delicious to you, then you are a communist.

.

I’ll try not to drunk blog/tweet though, because I’m classy.

If I manage to pull off a loss, then I will probably think my scale is broken, but I will accept it.  If I pull off a gain, I will know full well why it happened, and I will just work on losing that too.  I have no more food festivals planned for the rest of the year (although there is possibly a Wine Fest and a Microbrewery Festival in my future), so I think it’ll be okay.

Anyone else have any plans for the long weekend?

This weekend, I will be over my parents to help celebrate my Stepdad’s and my Sister’s Birthday.

To celebrate that, as well as the end of summer in general, there is going to be a huge party.  There will be a lot of people, alot of liquor (see the poolside bar in the background?)…

…and lots…and lots…of food!

Here is an idea of what typical foodfare my parents parties:

  • Burgers
  • Hotdogs
  • Hot Potato Salad
  • Crab Dip
  • Seafood Salad
  • Homemade Mac and Cheese
  • Fried Chicken
  • Taco Salad
  • Chips and Pretzels
  • Cookies
  • Cake (It’s a birthday, duh?)
  • Whatever else other people decide to bring…

Not exactly a dieter’s paradise, especially a dieter whose MO is to eat anything and everything in sight. Bah!

I think I’ll be okay though, I can’t exactly skip the party (and I wouldn’t want to anyway), but I just have to keep control.  Hopefully since I’ve thrown it all out there on the blog, and since you’ll be expecting to know how it went, that will help with the willpower. :D

So Happy Birthday John and Katie.  I’m going to celebrate by not getting any fatter. :D

What are your weekend plans?  Any major temptations coming your way?
