Enter randomness:

  • I created a new About Me page.  I thought it needed to be updated to take into account my recent struggles.  The original “The Old Me” page didn’t really fit anymore, because that old Steve still very much exists.
  • I also updated the Progress page to make it a little neater and to take into account BMI and Body Fat readings.  Now I just have to keep up with the thing.
  • There will probably some other changes on the blog pages or overall appearance coming.  The changes will probably be small (because I really do like the layout), but if you see anything wonky going in, it’s probably because I’m messing around with stuff behind the scenes.
  • I have successfully counted calories for two days now.  Tuesdays calorie count came to 1195, while Wednesdays came in at 1695.  Overall I’m thinking I want to try for 1800-2000 calories though.  I can already see that if I keep this up, I’m going to become really obsessive about it, which could pose some problems.
  • I have also not eaten out at all these past two days.  I’m ashamed to admit it but that is kind of record. Bah!
  • The Maryland Wine Festival is this next weekend.  Don’t know if I am going yet but I know it won’t be as damaging as the Buffalo Wing Festival :-P
  • Speaking of which, I RSVP’d for next years Buffalo Wing Festival.  Anyone want to come with? :)
  • My endurance is shot to hell.  I went from being able to go on long walks/runs or long cardio sessions to maybe being able to maybe handle 30 minutes before getting super exhausted.  It sucks.
  • Flaxseed keeps getting stuck in my teeth.

  2. I love the new pages. I also like how even though there hasn’t been much weight loss, that you’ve kept with it. That’s pretty much how my diet blog has been going. I’ve been just gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. Though,without the blog, I totally would have gained 10 lbs. At least.

    Buffalo Wing Festival sounds dangerous.

  3. I hear ya on the endurance! I had gained back a little less than 10 pounds and it made it feel so freakin hard to run. Crazy. Good thing we’re on our way back down!

  5. Nice new pages. Good to keep those things updated for yourself and to let others know. I think it helps in the whole accountability thing.

    And with endurance, the thing is you should be able to capture that fairly quickly. It’s super easy to get in and out of shape, but considering the work you did earlier this year, your body should work with you on this. Before you know it, you’ll be #niceasnewbynovember and #deliciousbydecember ;)
