In 10 days, I will be running a half marathon…

Holy crap!

I’m super excited, but nervous as all hell.  I know I can do the mileage, and I know that ANYTHING I do is going to be a personal best, but I’d still like to have a decent time.  No matter how much (or how little, recently) I run, races still make me nervous :-P

They’ve announced the official starters for the race.  Nine year old Sierra, and twelve year old Taylor, who you can see in the video below.

Watching that video choked me up a little bit.  Those two girls are about the age of my sisters, and have gone through so much.  I’m glad that I’m running to help benefit them and so many others.

Speaking of which, I’ve made goal, but donations are still more than welcome and GREATLY appreciated.  All of your donations benefit the University of Maryland Cancer Center.

You can check out my donation page here.

That’s all I got.  Hope you have a great day :)

Progress Report: Week 31
Weight: 235.8lbs
BMI: 34.3
Weight loss so far:  0.8 lbs lost since last week, 29.2 lbs lost total

Hey, it’s something.  My first week since the reset was somewhat lackluster, but oh well.

Still busy as all hell, but I’m going to try to devote at least a little bit of time to you all.  I feel worse about not keeping up with YOUR blogs than I do about not writing on this one.  I’m sure you guys are doing awesome, as always.

Have a great day!

I’m still alive…

…and still trying to get back on track.

It’s been a few days, and I apologize for that.  It’s not that I’m deliberately trying to avoid the blog.  It’s more a combination of being busy with work, being busy with schoolwork (apparently self paced means I still have to do the work at some point, DAMMIT!), and not knowing what to talk about, at least in a coherant way (bullet points wouldn’t be much help either).

So yeah, there is that.  I’m working out, and the diet is slightly better.  I’m not going to go and say I’m back yet, but I’m getting there.  Your regularly scheduled Steve will be back soon :)

In the meantime, how in the hell are ya?!

And thank you for the encouragement, advice, etc…you gave with the weigh in post.  I’ve said it before, but I can never say it enough, you guys rock! :)

Peace!
