Quick post, it’s Friday (WooT) and I’m chillaxin’!

As of about 10 minutes ago, I now have 300 followers on twitter!

WooT!

Originally just used as a tool to track my meals (hahaha…that lasted long…), it has since become SO. MUCH. MORE!  It’s a great way to connect with people, get your thoughts out there (when it’s not handy to sit down and write a blog post), get a little (okay, a lot) silly, etc…etc…etc…  I love it!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

According to dailymile, I also recently reached a benchmark in my year to date running.  100 miles!

WooT x 2!

As in, 90-95 more miles than I have probably EVER run…E V E R !  And it’s only March!  And I plan to run A LOT more this year! WooT!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

Oh, wait, there actually isn’t.  That’s all I got.  I lied.  I’m sorry.  Forgive me?  Please?  You do?  Yay!

:)

Now I just need to finish losing this 100(ish…give or take) pounds and we’ll be good to go!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!

  1. Yay!! you rock, of course you have 300 followers, soon to be 3,000 I am convinced.

  2. That is amazing, Steve! Great work. I’ll look for you on Twitter if I don’t follow you already…

  3. Nice work on the 100 miles running, that’s pretty freakin’ awesome. And you’ve got me way beat on the Twitter followers, I’m sitting at a lowly 120 ;(

  4. Congrats on the 100 miles. Keep it up. If your training goes well, you’ll hit 100 miles in a month later this summer, I’m sure of it. As far as Twitter is concerned, keep an eye using the various tools out there to make sure your followers are active. I once got to 1,000 on my non-running account, did an “audit” and then got rid of about 200 inactive people. On Twitter, focus on the quality not the quantity! ;)

  5. Congrats man … nice job on the running. 100 miles is pretty awesome, some day I’ll get there. I think I’m at like 10. Also, kicking it on the twitter followers as well. Your support group and growing man. :)

  7. WooHoo 100 miles! Way to go! I like the stats on the bottom of dailymile, it tells you how many TVs you’ve powered & stuff, pretty fun stats.

  8. Hoowray for you! I love daily mile. I have finally gone 0.01 of the way around the world. I’m so relieved. That was making me pretty mad.

And I’m not surprised you have so many tweeps. You’re funny and encouraging and generally Colonel Awesomesauce. (no the payment is not in the mail bwahahaha)

  9. Just getting caught up on reading your blog. Congrats on your twitter following! Keep up the good work Steve, you have done a great job on your journey and are trending downward. You rock…:-)

  10. I’m just now getting into Twitter, but I can see how it becomes addicting! Congrats on your 100 miles run so far this year! That’s fantastic, Steve.
