Progress Report: Week 16
Weight:  234.4 lbs
BMI: 34.1
Weight loss so far:  3.0 lbs lost since last week,  30.6 lbs lost total

I have officially lost 30 pounds (a little over) since the start of this journey….SA-WEET!  I’m getting more and more excited about these numbers each week, because they mean that I’m getting closer to 220…then 210…then 200…then ONEderland.  How cool is that?!

The week consisted of a little less snacking and a bit more strength training (ugh, but still kinda WooT I guess).  I’m sure my 6.06 mile run on Friday and my 16.1 mile walk on Saturday helped with matters too.

In addition to everything else, I set some weekly goals for myself too.  How did I do with them?

  • Finish the 100 Mile Running Challenge. FINISHED! 103.3 miles FTW!
  • Get to AT LEAST 100 miles in the 500 Mile Biking Challenge. DONE, 101.9 miles.
  • Eight hours of overtime. FAIL, 2 hours only :(
  • Six hours of study time. UBERFAIL, I didn’t do a damn thing.  Thank God its self paced and all, but I need to get crackin’ on this.
  • Buy new running shoes. Still excited about these things, WooT!
  • Get to World 7 in Super Mario Bros. Wii. Okay, so I actually got to World 8…but thats only because I somehow managed to get to the Warp Cannon in World 6, so I bypassed 7 completely.  World 8 sucks hardcore, and I’m currently retracing my steps through some easier levels to try to replenish my 1up supply.
  • So basically, I got the whole fitness thing down pat, but I need to shift my priorities.  I’m not ignorant to the fact that my only somewhat successful non-weightloss related goal was the video game based one (and coming from a guy who barely plays any videogames anymore, thats bad).

Here are my goals for the upcoming week:

‘Tis all for now, my friends.  Now I have to go to work and junk, ugh.  How are you all doing?

Hope you have a great day.

    3. Congrats on the loss!!! And especially on the frickin’ awesome week o’ exercise! You are doing so good.

I actually enjoyed Mario Level 8 after playing it a few times. I absolutely love the music on that level! Level 7 is tricky…especially THE ONE CASTLE i’ve been waiting for you to get to that almost made me cry. Ok, it DID make me cry but just a little :)

      • Level 8 has falling death rocks, f*ck that noise!

I’ll probably go back and finish level 6 so I can get to level 7, that way I can at least see it.

        • I think the falling death rocks are only on one world of that level…and like one screen of the next one. The lava part gets reeeallly tricky but it’s neat.

    4. You’re taking care of your bidness Steve. Good work man! Keep it up!

    5. YAY!!!!!!! Three pounds! Yoga for Regular Guys is awesome! Not that I know from experience or anything (or maybe I do)…

    6. 30 pounds! You are rocking! I like your weekly goals. I think they will help you keep your commitment and focus up.

I’m guessing the blog is helping too!

    7. Um, whyever did you walk that far?
I am going to check those challenges out.

      • I walked that far cuz I’m a bit crazy, and I only had 2 days to complete my challenge (procrastination FAIL!) You should definitely try one of the challenges out!

    8. You’re doing phenomenal, man. I remember when I first dropped 30 lbs. I felt so energetic and ready to take on the world. Enjoy this time, chief. You’re owning it.

    11. Steve, Congratulations on a GREAT loss this week! I just got new running shoes, too, and I’m loving them so far!

    12. Nice job. You really do need to take it one pound at a time. It’s amazing that what seems so slow initially will later seem like it went so quickly.

    13. I haven’t been to ONEderland in a long time. It sounds like such a wonderful place, and you’re leading the way. Great job!

Good job, I’m about to hit the gym myself, maybe I’ll do a mile of running. :)

      I’m getting there.
