Progress Report: Week 16
Weight:  237.4 lbs
BMI: 34.6
Weight loss so far:  .4 lbs lost since last week,  27.6 lbs lost total

I was kind of afraid of this, as my scale was hovering between 237 and 239 for most of the week. So, this doesn’t compare to the super awesome loss from last week, but hey, a loss is a loss. Any distance I can put between myself and the 240′s is okay by me, b/c I’m sick of seeing those numbers. Still though…

Now for the accountability. Diet wise, I ate out a bit more this past week that I would have liked, and my choices weren’t always the best. Alot of that was a false sense of confidence, especially by “cheating” early on thinking I could make up for in the days that followed, and part of it was laziness.  I’ve been exhausted every evening and haven’t felt like cooking. Blah…

Workout wise, my only issue has been the lack of strength training, which I am going to try to reintroduce into my routine this week (already have one day down this week, so WooT!).  Cardio wise, I’ve been busting my ass on the ARC Trainer still, and am still trying to get some mileage under my belt w/ my walks/runs.  I might throw a bit more eliptical and exercise bike into the mix as well, and maybe even :::gasp::: some stairclimber, in order to get some variety.

Other than that, more of the same, really, work, school, blah, blah, blah.  I do want to set some goals for myself for the upcoming week, though:

  • Finish the 100 Mile Running Challenge. I have 22.86 miles left and I have until the end of the month. Aieeeee.
  • Get to AT LEAST 100 miles in the 500 Mile Biking Challenge. My chances of completing this full challenge suck, but I at least want to get to 100 miles, which means I have about 11 miles left to go.
  • Eight hours of overtime.
  • Six hours of study time.
  • Buy new running shoes. I will hopefully accomplish this goal later today, WooT! :)
  • Get to World 7 in Super Mario Bros. Wii. Yeah, we’ll see how that goes, but I’ll try.

That’s all I got.  Best of luck to everyone with your goals for this week.

  1. A loss is a loss, we all have to remember that. Good work!

  2. Welcome to the 0.4 club!

  3. Great work again Steve, take every bit of progress you can get! My week has been going much the same, hovering right around 264 the past 3 days. I’m going to have to step it up between now and Friday if I want to see a good weigh-in for the week!

    Keep it up man!

    • Ha…you are right around where I started at, thats awesome! I’ll see this week will be another good one for you, you are doing an awesome job!

  4. Yay Steve! Way to go Buddy! :D I am so impressed by your ability to run/walk/craw/pirouette 100 miles in one month. You are the shizzz! That’s crazy! My gym is still packed as hell and by the time I get there at 4pm there are no friggin’ treadmills. We have a track, but…snore. Excuses, excuses, huh? I seem to be full of those these days! >:| Hey, what exactly is the name of the Mario game you have for the Wii? I want it…I loved Mario Brothers back in the day all 3 of them. Sounds like fun whatever it is! Happy losing, you’re doing great!

    • OMG…that’s going to be the February Challenge…Priouette 100 miles in a month. :-P

      Just kidding…maybe (bwahahaha!)

I’m so glad you are back, you’ve been missed around these parts! And the game is New Super Mario Bros Wii (its the one in the red case). It’d hard as balls, so play at your own risk (to your sanity) :)

    • Jessie getting mario, too? Me likey!!!!!!! It’s so fun, but it def has it’s hard parts (that’s what she said…)

Ummm, yeah if you liked Mario “back in the day” you’ll love this!

I wanna get a Wii points card and get the old marios for NES on there!

  5. I love your loss is a loss attitude. I’m gonna TRY to adopt that. But I still think you’re scale is possessed. You exercise soooooooooooo much you deserve a bigger number in my opinion!!

    • Haha…I’d like to think I deserve a bigger number too, but if the diet isn’t in check then all the exercising is going to do is cause a stalemate. Bah!

There will be a bigger number next week, no more of this decimal point bullsh*t :)

  6. Holy crapWooTmonkeys! (That’s my new phrase I stole from you thankyouverymuch!)

    Congrats on another LOSS!
Good luck with your strength training this week. If you can tackle that the way you have your cardio, you’ll be ripped in no time!

  7. A loss is definitely still a loss. Continue to set your Nintendo goals high, that is clearly the most important thing here.

  8. You know what they say. Eat right to lose weight. Exercise for fitness.

  9. All about Mario for sure!!! LOL.

Good job on the loss even though it deserves to be higher with all the work you are doing!

I just bought new running shoes today! Needed them as I swear my feet grew in the last couple of months and I was tired of my toes hurting from being rammed in the front. :) Refused to do a workout today without new shoes. I need to get a rocked strapped to my ass to finish the 21.44 miles I still need to get done for the challenge. Geesh, where is the frickin weight loss that should accompany all this work??
