Progress Report: Week 5
Weight: 252.0
BMI: 36.2
Weight loss to date: 13 pounds
I’ve lost 1.4 pounds since last week and 13 pounds since the very beginning. I can deal with that
I thought I’d post a side by side of me now vs. me at the beginning of week one. Can you see a difference (besides me needing a haircut and my pitiful facial hair)? I did a test run w/ three friends, two of which say my face looks a little thinner, one says I look a little thinner in the body and the shirt looks a bit looser. You can click on the picture to see a bit larger version, if you so desire.
I don’t know, I can kinda see what they are talking about, but I don’t see anything huge, and while some clothes do seem to be a bit looser, others seem to be just as snug as before, which can be a bit frustrating.
I’ve had coworkers comment, which is always nice. Today my supervisor said my chest area (aka, my boobies) is getting smaller, and I get the loose clothes comments as well sometimes.
I’m FAR from done, so let’s see what happens next.
I want to set a fitness goal of 15 miles on the treadmill this week, whether it be running/walking/jogging/whatever. I still want to mix up the cardio, and I am starting to enjoy my time on the treadmill, so this will be further motivation to stick with it.
In NON-fitness goals, I want to work 12 hours of overtime between now and next tuesday. I have gone from someone who could easily work 90 hours a week to someone who doesn’t even want to work 40, I want to rebuild my hardworker reputation and pad the checking account a bit, especially since I go a bit overboard at Christmas
Hope everyone has a good day.
UPDATE: Totally forgot to mention, I met my goal of 60 minutes on the bike for the week too! WooT! I did my last 20 minutes yesterday, 10 minutes before weight training and 10 minutes after. As previously mentioned, on Sunday I exceeded my stairclimber goal by 5 minutes (so 35 instead of 30) and I cleaned my room for the non-fitness goal. WooT.
UH DUDE, I CAN TOTALLY TELL!? Is something wrong with your vision? Your face is so much thinner than before and your shirt looks looser too. I can’t believe you don’t see that? My dad told me that you lose weight from your head down, so the first place you see it is your face, and so on. (Okay, I am still waiting for the progress to hit from my neck down.
) You look great, and you really can see the progress you’ve made. What great motivation!!
I think I am going to do your 15 miles on the treadmill challenge with you this week too! Sounds like a great challenge for myself. I will start today at the gym. I’m going to do all 15 and get it out of the way. haha. Kidding!!
Yay for meeting your goals, yay for losing, yay for co-workers telling you you look skinnier!!!
Aww, thanks
I can see a little difference, and it’s nice, but I don’t want to get super excited about it b/c I have a long way to go, and I still mostly see the chubby cheeks and the double chin.
That’d be awesome if you did the 15 mile challenge with me, and it WOULD be nice to get it out of the way now, hehe. I tend to procrastinate alot, so as long as I’m not trying to get it all done on Monday I should be okay
Your face is definitely thinner dude.
Build on that momentum, and keep going.

That’s great – We’ve lost about the same amount of weight but my BMI is still 41.6 – I’d love to get it under 40. Keep it up!
Thanks everyone, and congrats on your weight loss Barry. I’m sure you’ll be WELL under BMI 40 in no time flat.
