Progress Report: Week 4 (and 1 day)
Weight: 253.4
BMI: 36.4
Weight loss to date: 11.6 pounds
Well, this was a nice surprise, based upon the numbers I was seeing throughout the week before my scale crapped out, I was expecting a couple pound gained. I’m sure the extra day to get my sh*t together helped, but ddddaaaammmmnnnn.
WooT, regardless.
With that said, this weight was taken on a new scale, which is the exact same model as the OLD scale, except that it actually works. My first day of calorie counting wasn’t torturous, so that might be somewhat easy to keep up with after all.
Even with the loss, every bit of my pity party yesterday holds true, I was slipping, and some things need to change. I would love to see a HUGE number this week, so lets see if we can have a week with NO slip ups, okay?
I want to set a couple of goals for myself this week as well. I’m still falling into old habits and relying on the ARC Trainer, so I’d like to force myself to do at least 60 minutes on an exercise bike this week, and 30 minutes on a stairmaster. I HATE the stairmaster, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
For a non-weight loss related goal, I’d like to clean my room this week. It’s a disaster area, since I never really finished unpacking from my move in July and b/c I’m a slob. Since this isn’t just a weight loss journey, but a lifestyle change, there are quite a few things about myself that need work.
GO STEVE, IT’S YER BIRTHDAY! Up. In. HERE!
Good work, sir. See? You can do this! You ARE doing this. I am so jealous right now. I need a time machine.
Dude, let me know how much you love/hate the stairmaster. Can I suggest going for 70 steps per minute (seems like a slow pace but you will sweat your ASS off) and do it for just 20 minutes. Are we talking about the same machine? (Stepmill) I get confused.
Also, good luck on cleaning your room. Being organized at home will probably lead to you feeling organized with your eating and calorie counting. I feel chaotic when my house is a wreck. So every day then I feel chaotic.
Have a great day, and keep up the great work friend!
For me, planning makes all the difference in really putting together a killer weight-loss week. Planning out meals, planning out workout, planning out how to cope with unexpected events. When you get all your ducks in a row, and combine that with a little good old-fashion willpower, you can make a little magic happen on the scale.
Good luck this week!
